RIDE YOUR BICYCLE FOR BRITAIN!
Celebrate the joy of two wheels on our easy-going, elegant vintage cycle ride on
Saturday 3rd August at 2.00pm.
During WW2, your bicycle was your best buddy; requiring no fuel and little maintenance, it could scoot you to the shops, power you to the pub and deliver you to the dance-hall in no time at all! So join us for a celebration of wartime wheels as we take a leisurely vintage cycle ride round the locality; the ride will start at 2.00pm and take in the promenade with its famous views of Morecambe Bay to Heysham Village and end at the Memorial Hall, It will be easy-going, slow and flat - making it ideal for all ages and abilities.
Bring any bicycle (but if you have a vintage velocipede, so much the better!) - and feel free to dress to impress as we take in the Promenade, the town of Morecambe,
and those wonderful views across the bay! Everyone is welcome, and the more cyclists who join us, the merrier we shall be!
